On October 16 and 17, we were a partner and exhibitor at the fall conference of the Berufsverband der Datenschutzbeauftragten Deutschlands (BvD) e.V. at the Mövenpick Hotel Stuttgart Messe.
The BvD Fall Conference is a central meeting point for the professional exchange of current data protection issues in the public and non-public sector. The event has been organized by the BvD together with the Baden-Württemberg State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information, the Bavarian State Office for Data Protection Supervision and the Bavarian State Commissioner for Data Protection for seven years.
This year, the focus was on maintaining a cyber overview. That’s why data protection officers from all areas came together to discuss current developments and challenges.
Our expert Markus Schulte spoke on 16.10.2024 at 16.30 about “Be armed against cyber threats! How to advise your customers and companies”.
The presentation provided a comprehensive overview of the main cyber threats facing clients and businesses today. It covered best practices for strengthening cyber security, important tricks for IT infrastructure, secure passwords and regular software updates. Markus Schulte also presented proactive solutions such as automated pentesting, which help companies to identify security vulnerabilities at an early stage and protect themselves effectively. Finally, contingency plans and legal requirements were highlighted in order to be prepared for cyber attacks and to advise customers with confidence.
