Déjà vu?
Casio has announced that it is currently working with external security experts to investigate whether sensitive (customer) data has been leaked. As is usual on such occasions, Casio asserts that it took immediate action and called in the authorities as soon as it became aware of the unauthorized access.
Just like a year ago, the company apologized. At that time, criminal hackers were able to compromise the database of the Casio education platform ClassPad.net — the personal data of more than 100,000 customers had been leaked. Casio then promised to equip its network and systems with additional security measures.
